Our time together has gone by so very quickly that while I knew there would be an end, it was always a much later time. Now the "much later time" is here. The time has come to say farewell.
I’ve thought often about what we have accomplished together. We have done a lot. We tried a lot of different things; some worked, some didn’t. Overall, most of what we tried, even those things that didn’t accomplish exactly what we had hoped, made us more effective in serving God. I have no regrets.
What I do have is gratitude. The Reed family has been blessed to be a part of your lives and engaged with you in worship and ministry. What a blessing you have been to us! I have considered it a privilege to have served as your pastor. You have honored me with trust and friendship. Thank you.
Soon you will welcome Rev. Stephanie Sault as your pastor. I personally look forward to her ministry here. I know she and David (her husband) will be lovingly received. They will come to know what Deborah and I know: You are a gracious and loving people.
May God continue to bless you.
With Gratitude,
David
